A snake belonging to the elapidae family, the King cobra lives only in Asia and at altitudes above 2000 m. This is the world's longest venomous snake. It can measure from 3 to 5.5 m and live for 20 years. It is an excellent hunter, particularly thanks to its outstanding view. It also defends its territory, something which is quite rare for snakes.
